The Frugal Mom“I easily downloaded 3 stories, and in a matter of minutes, my kids were hearing the first story play on the Windows Media Player and were jumping up and down, asking me what it was. They loved the stories and watched all 3 of them. I finally got a few minutes to do some paperwork. Yeah! |

Laura M. Viel“I think we have to have fun if we’re going to engage kids, but once they’re engaged….this (MobiStories) was reading, this was listening, this is readiness. It’s perfect, too, because it’s one on one and when we think of individualizing, that’s what this does. It’s a personal individualizer. It engages kids in the reading process. It’s good for the learning strategies for reading. I think it’s great.” Laura M. Viel, professor of elementary education and gifted education teacher |

Mom 2 Ways
As soon as I started the story, my 3 and 5 year olds came running to the computer. (I haven’t had a chance to try it on Daddy’s iPod yet.) My 3 year old LOVES (I mean is obsessed with!) Thomas the Tank engine. He loved the Train story. It had simple pictures with short phrases. And, of course, sound effects! My 5 year old daughter (who loves music and dance) really enjoyed the (free!) Salsa for Kittens and Puppies, as well as Ella the Elephant–which both deal with music. My 10 year old (whose dream is to grow up and be a Mythbuster) loved the Magic Rocket.” All from Julie D, of Mom 2 Ways |

Thrifty Ways & Ideas“Kids love to be on the computer. Here is a great way for them to do something educational. They can enjoy a virtual book. Since reading is a very important skill for a child to learn here is way a child can enjoy reading a book but on a screen. I downloaded a book for my 2 year old over the weekend and she loved it.” Maria, of Thrifty Ways and Ideas |
Brittany“With such a digital world being prominent in our children’s lives, it is sometimes difficult to have them stop a minute to read a book. My husband and I have had story time before bed with our little ones since they were born. However, I have noticed that my little guy enjoys the computer and technology, so MobiStories seems like the perfect solution to this dilemma.” Brittany, of Slick and Savvy |
Sugar ‘N Spice“I thought they had a wide variety of stories available and in fact it took us about 2 hours to decide what we would download. They can be downloaded to an ipod or mp3 player to name a few options. This would make a great boredom buster for the little ones in the backseat as you travel “over the river and through the woods….”

“I think this is a great concept for families on the go.”
“My daughter LOVES
“We all know the importance of reading and this is a great resource for parents.
“The goal of MobiStories is ‘to improve reading in an entertaining and accessible format to improve literacy.’
“In a day and age where everything is digital, why not make reading interactive?”
“I’ve got to tell you this is an awesome idea! What I liked about
“I don’t know about you all, but when my three older kids were little they wanted me to read to them all the time. Now I didn’t mind that, but when you get asked to read the same book over and over and over it tends to get a little old! With this you can buy books and then all you have to do is turn it on and your child can listen to someone else read the story to them and it even has sound effects! Plus if they want to listen to it over and over … no big deal!”
